We went back yesterday because living in Ayutthaya is a lot like living in Stanley, Wisconsin (my hometown). There is very little access to anything or anyone and if you want something, you need to just drive to Eau Claire for it. So, we took the van to Bangkok and had a pretty fantastic day doing things like eating hummus and getting ice cream at McDonald's. I love how Ronald is bowing, just like the Thai people do here. That's the one thing you need to know for survival in this country. Meet someone somewhere and just bow and say, "Sa-waa-dee-kaa." After that, you're probably screwed though. Just say something in English and add "ka" to the end of it.
