We went shopping at "Robinson" the other day to buy these things (kind of like a fancier Target, I guess) and had some Thai workers following us around the entire time with a calculator, showing us the prices for any item we even bothered to pick up. Which amazingly was the same price as the one on the SIGNS underneath said items. I'm not sure I get what the hell was going on with all this crap. It was like they thought we were going to steal something. Very irritating. Took away any fun I may have had in spending money on shit I already own back in the country I desperately want to be in.
Then a few days ago, we decided to go to Black Canyon Coffee one last time, since I'm pretty sure I'm going to avoid that chain like the plague once I'm in a city that actually has more than one restaurant I'm interested in eating at. Anyway, I ordered hot coffee and water while the hubs ordered some fancy coffee drink and water. We got one water and one fancy coffee drink. As far as the food? I got the wrong sandwich (ham and cheese) which I had to give to the hubs since I have that whole "dairy allergy" thing. He was going to try explaining this to them (as in...Hey...you gave us the wrong food so how about you make that right with the world and get a tuna sandwich out here STAT) but yeah. Right. They wouldn't get it. And if they did, we'd wait another 25 minutes while they sat around, ate some shit, and then finally decided to make a new sandwich.
I've decided to jump on that bandwagon and start fundraising for my own charity. I'm going to open up "Etiquette Schools" all over the country. The first year will focus on simple things like: Not Staring at People, Waiting Your Turn In Line, and Not Falling Asleep on the Job.
